The Next Rapper to Look Out For: A Profile on Steven Santos

The Hip-hop industry is full of fresh talents and rappers, and Steven Santos, a student from the Ateneo de Manila University, is the next rapper to look out for. Steven Ayrton Y. Santos, currently taking AB Interdisciplinary Studies, is set to become a SoundCloud rapper, with plans on releasing his very own content soon. Out of all genres, Hip-Hop has been his most favored. “I don’t listen to anything else other than rap”, Steven shares, talking about Hip-hop and Rap being his favorite type of music.

This passion has grown since he first started out rapping, as he shared how he used to rap along to the lyrics of other songs. “I could always rap lyrics from other songs but I never really had the talent to make my own lyrics but there was this one time when I was drunk and it just came to me”. His inspiration behind this passion comes from his favorite artists such as A$AP Rocky, Lil Xan, and Lil Skies, of which he had the opportunity to see one of them live last April 4, 2019 in the Manila Concert of A$AP Rocky.

Steven’s anticipated releases are not the only things set to fly high in the coming year, he plans to pursue a career in becoming a pilot. As soon as he is out of college, he plans on entering a pilot school. Before he is set to soar into the world of rap and piloting, Steven is currently taking classes in Communication and Marketing, exploring through his course. With a promising and diverse career ahead of him, Steven Santos is definitely set to become a talent and inspiration for others.
